Mid-Century Inspired Glam Living Room

For this project, the clients had just purchased an amazing walnut media console from Design Within Reach and were stuck on a style direction. While the console is wonderfully mid-century inspired, the clients didn't want to go overboard with a complete mid-century room. A grey velvet sofa with clean lines and some bright orange chairs give a nod to the era, but walk a more modern, updated line. Wrought iron pieces such as the coffee table and matching bookcases anchor the space while remaining light and airy - presenting ample opportunities for displaying personal photos and mementos. The soft flokati rug is an updated take on it's mid-century counterpart. A bit of glam is brought in through gold nesting tables, artwork and accessories.
