Romantic Rustic Modern Master Bedroom
Kris and Angela have an amazing home in Tacoma, Washington. Their spacious master bedroom features nearly floor to ceiling windows that let in a maximum amount of light and showcases the incredible view. The vaulted ceilings and generous size of the room presented some challenges in terms of layout and decor, so the couple needed some assistance pulling things together. These two are DIY dynamos and not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get to work!
The pair requested a romantic retreat that wasn't too rustic, or too modern. The only thing in the room that they wished to keep was their large, tufted sleigh bed. The bed is upholstered in a taupe-grey linen, and the walls were already painted a neutral shade. Inspired by a painting that reminded me of their million dollar view, I suggested using a deep teal as an accent color and mixing mirrored elements with stained wood and industrial-inspired touches.
